小米 Tab 6 Max 配备 14 英寸 2.8K OLED 面板，主频为 120 Hz。它的峰值亮度为 600 尼特。其他规格包括 10 位颜色支持、HDR 10 并支持 CIE 2015 CMF。它还通过了TUV莱茵兰认证，长期使用对眼睛更舒适。小米还确认，它通过 MIUI 工作台支持多任务处理，让用户可以同时运行四个应用程序。有四个扬声器分布在两侧用于音频。
小米 Tab 6 Max 配备了高通 Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1SoC，使其成为市场上最强大的平板电脑之一。最高可配置 16 GB 内存和 1 TB 存储。较早的泄漏证实也将提供 12 GB RAM 的版本。小米的官方清单显示，入门级版本将分别拥有 8 GB 和 256 GB 内存/存储。小米在其巨型平板电脑中加入了一些令人兴奋的功能。

基础款小米 Pad 6 Max 现已在中国预购，起价 3,599 元人民币(495 美元)。同样，其满配版零售价为 4,799 元人民币(660 美元)。一百名幸运获奖者将获得小米全额支付的购物车内容。不幸的是，目前还没有关于这款平板电脑何时在全球上市的消息。
