据Which?报道，近几个月食品通胀有所降温，但价格仍远高于两年前，对低收入家庭产生了重大影响。
截至 7 月 9 日的四个星期内，杂货价格通胀率降至 14.9%，而上个月为 16.5%。
尽管有所下降，但消费者团体的数据显示，过去两年食品成本持续上涨，有些自 2021 年以来飙升了 30% 以上。
据《卫报》报道，通货膨胀率最高的产品是牛奶(36.4%)、奶酪(35.2%)、黄油和涂抹酱(32.2%)、蛋糕和饼干(31.2%)以及烘焙食品(30.3%)。
自 2021 年以来，肉类价格飙升 23.6%，蔬菜价格上涨 19.1%，咸味馅饼、糕点和乳蛋饼价格飙升 26.2%。
果汁饮料和冰沙价格上涨了 28.6%，饼干价格上涨了 27%。
哪个?食品政策负责人苏 戴维斯 (Sue Davies) 表示： 尽管大肆宣传降价，Which? 的追踪器显示，牛奶和黄油等必需品的成本仍然非常高，给数百万人带来了巨大压力，这就是为什么获得预算范围的原因帮助人们省钱比以往任何时候都更加重要。
