2.A happy day is my birthday. I had my 12th birthday last Monday. As my mother said that I am 12 years old, I should play as an older child in my life after. I had a big birthday party in my home. All of my friends came. We ate food and cake which was I ordered from a high level restaurant. But the food was made by my mother herself. All my friends thought that I had a good mother cook. They all loved her food very much. Then I blow off the candles. There were 12 candles that expressed 12 years which were passed. Before cake, we sang birthday song. And after cake, we played good games. I love that day very much. It was really a happy day My favorite holiday is the Spring Festival, or Chinese New Year. On the eve of the Spring Festival, the whole family gather together at the dinner table to enjoy food prepared for this occasion and talk with each other. After dinner, the elders give their children money, with which they can buy whatever they want. During the Spring Festival, people visit their relatives and wish each other Happy New Year. Throughout the Spring Festival, everyone is much friendlier and kinder than at any other time of the year, and you can feel the world is filled with love. During the Spring Festival, since there is no school, children often walk in the streets in groups, singing and laughing. Sometimes they set off firecrackers and have a good time. And young people often go shopping or go to the parks together, or they stay at home and watch TV. There is a peaceful and happy atmosphere everywhere. At this time people can enjoy performances by well known actors and actresses, comedians, singers and dancers. Young people also enjoy setting off firecrackers and fireworks in the open. Each year, lots of money is spent on fireworks, and people enjoy their beautiful colors and patterns, and probably the noise too. All these contribute to the excitement of this special holiday. The Spring Festival is also a time for people to express their good wishes to each other. Everybody seems much friendlier than usual and people feel closer to their family and are kinder to their friends and neighbors. That"s why I love the Spring Festival most.
